15 Years of The Good Counsel Network!

There will be an Old Rite Mass organised by the Latin Mass Society, on Friday 13th January at 6.30pm at Corpus Christi Church, Maiden Lane, London. This Mass is offered for the work of the Good Counsel Network. This will be the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Good Counsel Network.

There will be a Sung Requiem Mass (Old Rite) for the deceased supporters of the Good Counsel Network on Friday 11th November at 6.30pm.

The Mass is the one organised by the

Latin Mass Society on the 2nd Friday of each month at Corpus Christi Church, Maiden Lane, Central London - the nearest tube station is Charing Cross Station.

There will be an Old Rite Mass organised by the Latin Mass Society, on Friday 12th August at 6.30pm at Corpus Christi Church, Maiden Lane, London. This Mass is offered for the work of the Good Counsel Network.

Mass for Good Counsel in Oxford Tonight

The first meeting of Juventutem Oxford will take place on Wednesday 2nd March. The usual Wednesday evening Mass at SS Gregory & Augustine will become a Sung Mass: it is the Feast of St Chad, the patron of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. There will be the usual 'social' afterwards.

Old Rite, Sung Mass on The Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

On the second Friday of each month The Latin Mass Society organise an Old Rite Mass for The Good Counsel Network at Corpus Christi Church, Maiden Lane, London, WC2E 7NB, at 6.30pm. Most months it is just a low Mass, but as the 2nd Friday of February happens to be the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, the 11th, we will have a High Mass. Numbers for this Mass were up this month, with about 30 or so people in attendance, this is in part due to a number of young Catholics who now attend this Mass each month and then go out for dinner together. Fr Hayward, our normal Celebrant is away, so Fr Armand de Malleray, FSSP will offer the Mass. Most of you will know of Father from his sermon which appeared on this blog Please attend this Mass if you can as it one of the few chances each month to go to a Mass offered for a Pro-Life group. Father has to travel to London from Reading to offer this Mass.

'Old Rite' Latin Mass Friday 13th August, Corpus Christi Church, Central London.

As mentioned previously here the Latin Mass Society organises a monthly Mass to support the work of the Good Counsel Network at Corpus Christi Church, Maiden lane. The Mass is held at 6.30pm on the second Friday of each month using the 1962 Missal, it is usually not very well attended. However as the Mass fell on the feast of the Sacred Heart in June, there was quite a good congregation, with numbers falling slightly for the Mass on the Feast of St John Fisher and St Thomas More in July. This month the regular Mass for Pro-Life work falls on Friday the 13th August, the feast of St Oswald, King and Martyr, in the diocese of Westminster. If you are able to attend please do so.

Next Latin Mass for Good Counsel 9th July

It was very nice on the feast of the Sacred Heart to see Fr Patrick Hayward so happy with the large turnout for our Mass at Corpus Christi.
On the second Friday of every month the Latin Mass Society organises Mass, in the Old Form of the Latin Rite, for The Good Counsel Network at Corpus Christi Church, Maiden Lane, Central London at 6.30pm. It is normally a Low Mass celebrated by Fr Haywood with a dozen or so of the faithful making up the small congregation.
As the second Friday of June was the feast of the Sacred Heart we had a sung Mass with a congregation 5 or 6 times the norm.
Fr Hayward who faithfully celebrates this Mass every month said that he hoped that they could all come next month and continue to do so.
As the second Friday of July, - the 9th July - is the feast of Sts John Fisher and Thomas More we will have another Sung Mass. Please attend if you can.
