BPAS Campaign of Intimidation Against Bishop Hopes - or Theology 101 by BPAS

NO BISHOPS WANTED. BY ORDER OF BPAS.
The following comment appeared in The Evening Standard on 14th March. My comments are in bold.

"A major protest is now planned for March 30 at the clinic and campaigners claim it will be led by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Westminster, Alan Hopes.
BPAS said there was “no moral justification” for bishops to get involved in such a campaign."
BPAS talking about moral justification? The mind boggles.
"Abigail Fitzgibbon, policy manager for the 'charity' [my inverted comma's], warned that “vocal” anti-abortion MPs were also stirring up protesters.
She told the Standard:
“I can quite understand that people want a debate on abortion but it’s another matter when they’re haranguing and intimidating women and staff.“If bishops are getting behind this then I can’t see how it’s morally justified especially when women have already made up their minds.”
While it's nice of Abigail to be so understanding. I don't want a debate on abortion personally. I want every woman considering abortion to be given really good other options. I also want abortion to be made completely illegal.
Regarding her belief that there is no moral justification for a Bishop to support his flock in rescuing those who are being dragged to death, try Proverbs 24:11-12 Alison, it may clear this up for you somewhat.
Since January 2011, over 40 women who "had already made up their minds" according to BPAS were given leaflets outside abortuaries and came to Good Counsel to talk about keeping their babies and to obtain the help and support necessary to do so. Many of them complained about having the help leaflets taken from them by abortuary staff if they went into the abortuary and had to ask pro-lifers for new copies when they came out. Groups like The Helpers of God's Precious Infants and 40 Days for Life would be there if 1 woman had turned around, or indeed if none had.

Does anyone get the feeling that BPAS and their hoards are still reeling from the shock of about 200 people - yes that's 200 people - turning up to pray at the new Stratford abortuary a week ago with over 10 priests and religious joining them? No wonder they are desperate to stop Bishop Hopes attending.
The Guardian and it's pro-abortion cronies as well as the Standard were raging at 40 Days last week when someone turned up at the Vigil and filmed parts of it. The pro-death lobby were concerned that any woman may have been filmed. Yet a few days before this a group turned up to film Good Counsel's peaceful prayer vigil at Marie Stopes abortuary in Whitfield St. Volunteer, Justina was actually filmed while speaking to one of the expectant mums approaching the abortuary. Those doing the filming went in and out of Marie Stopes abortuary and chatted with the staff. Strange that the abortionists think that was ok.

Please pray for Bishop Hopes and please support the 40 Days vigil especially on 30 March when the Bishop attends. Please pray for Good Counsel's Whitfield St Vigil too and attend any day if you can Mon-Fri 9-1.30 and Wed 1.30-5.30 also.

English Bishop to help end abortion.

Roman Catholic Bishop Alan Hopes will join 40 days for Life London to lead us in prayer for an end to abortion. Bishop Hopes will arrive at the abortuary at 26-27 Bedford Square London, WC1B 3HP, for 7pm on Friday 4th November.

A few months ago Bishop Hopes joined the Helpers of God's Precious Infants in Twickenham to lead a pro-life vigil at another BPAS abortion facility (Report & Photos).

We feel very blessed to have Bishop Hopes with us. This will be the first time 40 Days for Life London has had a bishop join us in prayer at the vigil.

You are warmly invited to join us and bring a friend or anyboby else if you don't have any friends.

40 Days for Life is now back in London. People will be praying and counselling outside the BPAS abortuary at 26-27 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3HP, 8am until 8pm everyday, until 6th November. It is a fact that many lives have been saved in London since 40 Days for Life started here last year. Happy Birthday Pro-Life English Bishop.

Today is the 75th birthday of Bishop Thomas McMahon of Brentwood. We wish him a Happy Birthday. If you were wondering what to get a Bishop for his birthday when he reaches the age of retirement, let me tell you. Bishop McMahon has for a number of years prayed outside Marie Stopes Abortuary in Buckhurst Hill. On Saturday 16th July (the next day will be the 31st anniversary of him being made a Bishop) he will do so again. So the best present you could give him, would be to attend this vigil.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered in St Thomas of Canterbury Church, 557-559 High Road, Woodford Green, IG8 0RB at 9am. At 9.45 approx the Bishop and the faithful will process to the abortuary saying the Rosary etc. on route. We will then return at 12 noon to the Church and at 12.30pm break for tea and a get together. Please bring a packed lunch. For more details. If you are not sure if you can attend please click here.

There will also be a Vigil at Bedford Square abortuary on Saturday 2nd July, in honour of The Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality

The Catechist says they have the right to tell your child about sex. A teacher in a Catholic school says that the Government says we must show pornography to your 5 year old. The Bishop says his hands are tied, and the experts have said it is okay. Thank God that as Catholics we can look to Christ's Vicar on Earth in Rome, when things seem so dark. The Vatican document, The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality, is a good place to start. There's no replacement for reading the document yourself (and no excuse for Catholic parents not to), but on Thursday 26th May at 8pm there will be a 30 minute programme on EWTN (sky 589 or online) about this document - maybe it would be a good place to start.

Most important Pro-Life talk in England so far this year, will be on Wednesday

Monsignor Philip J Reilly, the founder of the Helpers of God's Precious Infants will be in London on Wednesday. He will be giving a talk at St James' Church, Spanish Place, 22 George Street, London, W1U 3QY, on Wednesday 18th May 2011 at 7.30pm.

The number of babies, as well as Mothers & Fathers saved from the horrors of abortion by God's Grace, through this Priest is amazing. Should we go to the abortuary and pray? What should we do when we are there? Do Bishops and Priests need to go? Will me going really make a dfference? Over years I've heard Monsingor answer all of this and much more besides.

Bishop does 99% Better than his Lay Faithful for Praying at Abortuary

Over the years I have heard a number of pro-lifers, myself included, complain that the Bishops, priests or whoever were not doing enough for the pro-life movement and needed to do X, Y or Z.
When a Bishop does do something outstanding for the Pro-life movement we are all obliged to give him our full support, therefore I hope that you will be able to attend the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants peaceful prayer vigil at Marie Stopes Abortuary, Buckhurst Hill which will be led by Bishop Thomas McMahon.
Bishop McMahon has attended the vigil at the only abortuary in his diocese faithfully for a number of years now. It is interesting to think that 100% of Bishops in Brentwood attend this vigils while less than 5% of priests attend and the number of faithful attending does not even make up 1%! I therefore hope that you will be able to attend this vigil to do your bit to increase the number of the lay faithful, or priests (depending which you are) in attendance.
The vigil will happen on Saturday 10th July. The day starts with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 9am at St Thomas of Canterbury Church 557/559 High Road, Woodford Green, IG8 0RB followed by a procession at 9.45am to the Abortuary and returning at 12 Noon. 12.30 there will be a break for tea and get together. Please bring a packed Lunch. For more information see http://www.hgpi.co.uk/
