WHO says Contraception Fails and Causes Abortions

"You would say contraception fails, you're a Catholic and a Pro-lifer!" I have heard this a number of times and it still angers me as it implies that I lie about contraception failure to help prove the Church's teachings correct. Day in, day out we see women at Good Counsel Network who are pregnant because of contraception failure, but ignore this evidence by all means if you like and look at what the pro-contraception World Health Organisation (WHO) says itself:

"Worlwide, an estimated 9 to 30 million unplanned pregnancies occur annually as a consequence of contraceptive failure. The frequency of failure of contraceptive methods highlights the continuing need for abortion services." (WHO speaker at a Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists [conference] held April 1995)*

So there we have it from the pro-contraception movement. Contraception fails on a massive scale and thus leads to an increased number of abortions.
