October Baby is a must see Pro-life film and will be showing for
one night only at the Notting Hill Coronet Cinema, 103 Notting Hill
Gate, London W11 3LB on Thursday 18th October at 6.30 pm.
It is a PG-13 (in America) rated film.
This film has been described as "a major blessing to our movement"
by Fr Frank Pavone and a "Powerful, emotionally charged and worthy
of every accolade the film industry has to offer." by Judie Brown,
President of the American Life League.
Tickets are £10 if reserved in advance which is strongly recommended due to very high demand for tickets.
Here is a brief synopsis:
“As the curtain rises, Hannah hesitantly steps onto the
stage for her theatrical debut in college. Yet before she
can utter her first lines, Hannah-unscripted-collapses in
front of the stunned audience.
After countless medical tests, all signs point to on
underlying factor: Hannah’s difficult birth. This revelation
is nothing compared to what she then learns from her
parents: She was actually adopted... after a failed
abortion attempt.
Bewildered, angered, and confused, Hannah turns for
support to Jason, her oldest friend. Encouraged by his
adventurous spirit, Hannah joins his group of friends on
a Spring Break road trip, embarking on journey to discover
her hidden past... and find hope for her unknown future.
In the midst of her incredible journey, Hannah finds that life
can be so much more than what you have planned.”

Your Urgent Prayers Can Help A Mother & Save A Baby Tonight.
Super-Feminista to the...er..."rescue"?
Caroline answers many of the accusations and assumptions of the original blogger well enough for me to say nothing more on that matter.
However, having spoken to the counsellor who was involved, her concern remains for the young woman who we have called 'Marian'. Marian and her partner, neither of whom were at peace about the abortion, but who felt under pressure from circumstances, were about to come to our Centre for some practical support when her feminist "saviour" (i.e. the blogger who thought she "knew" that Marian was being harassed) parachuted into the situation as she passed by and "rescued" Marian and more or less pushed her into m*r*e stopes.
After this superheroine had left the scene, Marian chose to speak to the counsellor again on her way out. Still very upset she remarked that she now had little time to think about what to do.
Marian has not had the abortion yet, so I am asking you urgently for prayers for Marian and her baby, that she might choose life, and that she may get the chance to receive the practical help that she so badly needs. The specific support she says she needs is not something that the abortuary offers.
Please also pray for the counsellor, it is very unnerving to be portrayed as an agressive bully when one sacrificially gives time to peacefully pray and offer help to women entering an abortuary.
As one of the pray-ers present at the time commented "This woman is the most peaceful, gentle counsellor".
And please come to your local 40 Days for Life Vigil, see the details here.

It's Back! Pro-Lifers Still Give Double During 40 Days for Life
St Philomena, Helping Pro-Lifers to Give Double During 40 Days for Life!
Pathetic because even for those believing in the cause, they know that BPAS as the Uk's biggest abortion provider, carrying out thousands of NHS abortions paid for by the Government are hardly strapped for cash.
And pathetic too as an attempt to put people off praying! Did they really think that BPAS getting more money would worry us? We are aware of what BPAS are prepared to do for money already and they are welcome to all the money in the world if that's what it takes to "earn" it.
However, we also put up a fundraising page at the time, "Pro-lifers give double during 40 Days for Life" and in fact our page raised a fantastic £27,000. It was our biggest fundraiser of the year so far. And helped us to support about 40 mums and babies for months.
This time around " 'Education' for 'Choice' " is the group chosen to benefit from pro-death spite at the "40 Days" season.
So we have also re-launched our "Pro-lifers give double during 40 Days for Life" campaign to raise funds for our pregnancy Centre which supports all the 40 Days Vigils in London and cares for their turnarounds. Because we believe that pro-lifers are twice as generous! You can help by donating here http://www.justgiving.com/Good-Counsel-Network and please share the link with your friends. If everyone who reads this gives what they can and spreads the word we can help save more lives and support more Mothers.
St Philomena is the patroness of the Pro-lifers give double campaign.
God bless

200 Students in Pyjamas Join Dawn 40 Days Witness at London, Whitfield St!
It's been an interesting week at the Whitfield St 40 Days for Life! As the abortuary is conveniently sited opposite a student residence of UCL, most prayer volunteers spend their time praying just beside the student house. This leads to a variety of colourful meetings and incidents with the students. 3 "Pro-Choice" posters have appeared in student's windows. This was our personal favourite.
The next one this student put up was not quite as flattering, so I won't put up a picture of that one!
On a Friday night, standing at this site, which we do since it is a 24-hour vigil at Whitfield St, means chatting with a good number of merry to downright plastered students. But also leads to the occassional good conversations, including requests from Catholic students for prayers that they may keep their faith in their current environment.
Saturday morning is a different matter. It's so quiet you would think no-one lived on Whitfield St. Last Saturday, we were joined by Brother Gerard and though it was a cold day, there was beautiful sunshine beaming down on us so we had one of the warmest spots in the Centre of town for a while! We kept the volume of the prayers down till about midday, when we heard the sound of breakfast being made (well they are students, zzzzz).
Early Tuesday morning, about 7.15am, we were suddenly joined by a peaceful presence of about 200 students who had obviously been inspired to join the vigil. So keen were they that they had all come in their pyjamas. We were touched by this conversion of heart and my colleague started reciting a "Litany for Life" that he had with him. "For the times we have allowed our purity to be exposed to pornography, Lord have mercy on us" he read. No-one batted an eyelid at this, no rude comments were made. It didn't take us long to realise that their presence had been inspired by the fire alarm going off and their good behaviour encouraged by the presence of the managers of the residence. But still, it was nice to have them with us for 20 minutes at sunrise at the abortuary. Quite a few people would have appreciated seeing that happen, especially those who got a mouthful from one of the now "butter wouldn't melt" students, but I didn't have the heart to take a picture, like every pro-lifer I know, we don't take pictures of people in situations where they are vulnerable.
Wednesday morning brought a turnaround and another possible turnaround at Bedford Square. Both need your prayers. (or to help give them any finacial support they may need donate here)
Weekday daytimes are busy but there's not too much hassle. There is the odd guy who passes by shouting (at 3 women!) "You ******* idiots are putting the women's rights movement back by 25 ******* years" Because as a man he would obviously know more about what rights we need than we do @*#!!
But whether you like to pray in the quiet, in the dead of night, in the sunshine or the rain, in the face of abuse, or just in season or out of season, we have a time slot for you!
Last Sunday some of the pro-death squad were gloating about the small presence they found at Bedford Square.
40 Days is a great opportunity to witness against abortion. It takes commitment and sacrifice though, so let's give some commitment and get going on the prayer and fasting.
Don't let us waste this opportunity, we are either part of the solution to abortion or part of the problem. If we never make any public witness against abortion we are part of the problem.
